ACSM Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist Practice Assignments

The American College of Sports Medicine Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist, or ACSM RCEP, test is an assessment used to measure the test- taker’s knowledge and capability to be an acceptable exercise physiologist. The ACSM Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist test consists of seven content areas. These content areas are as follows Client Assessment, which will cover 20 percent of the test; Exercise Testing, which will cover 20 percent of the test; Exercise tradition, which will cover 20 percent of the test; Exercise Training, which will also cover 20 percent of the test; Education and Behavior Change, which will cover 10 percent of the test; Program Administration, which will cover 5 percent of the test; as well as Legal and Professional Considerations, which will cover the remaining 5 percent of the test. The test- taker will have up to three hours to complete all 140 questions.
