Is there a way to prevent emails from being sent to your AOL account?

What's the point of using AOL's email-blocking feature?

Email addresses are added to AOL's list of restricted senders when a user is refused access to their account. Emails from the senders on the blocked list will not be sent to your inbox.

However, AOL's restricted sender's list does not always prevent emails from blocked individuals from reaching your inbox, which is a bummer.

By right-clicking on a trash e-mail message and choosing Junk > Block Sender from the drop-down menu, you can quickly add a name to the Blocked Senders List.

If an email address is in your Blocked Senders List, can you delete it?

To remove a name from the Blocked Senders tab, choose it from the drop-down option that displays. After that, click the Remove from Blocked Senders List button. This will unblock the specified email address. At least now you are familiar with how to block an email address in AOL.
