DGL powder is added for potential benefit to GERD.

Both Ginkgo leaf powder and taurine are added for potential benefit to tinnitus.

Although it's considerably more expensive, I switched to blue masa because blue corn is much less likely to be GMO, and I think it tastes better.

Brazil nuts were added as a primary source of Selenium.

Wheat germ oil was added as a primary source of Vitamin E. It really hurt the flavor compared to using Macadamia Nut as the only oil. I need a tastier source of Vitamin E.

I don't blend the banana and nuts into the Soylent drink, not while I still have teeth.

For me Soylent isn't about being able to drink my food. It's about convenience and portability. This recipe adds 'real' foods, but tries to stick to foods that are convenient, don't require any significant preparation, and are easy to take on the go.
