Using a recipe for soylent brownies by Vanclute and People Chow 3.0.1 by Max as a base, I've been playing around with minimizing the recipe. Due to oil constraints, I had to switch to applesauce, unless I can find a suitable replacement. I found cinnamon simplified the requirements, and some brownies taste great with cinnamon. I have yet to try it, but I plan to soon.

Note the lack of prices. I'm still hammering out details, but most can be found for cheap at your supermarket. Most of them I have laying around already.

For reference, the recipe is:

Microwave Soylent Brownies - @vanclute [with modifications] Edition (beta version 0.5 [RC DIY])

[The other ingredients] 2 tbls cocoa powder 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/4 cup brown sugar 1 egg [Soybean Oil] 2/3 cup water Add water as needed in 1 Tbls increments

  1. Combine all dry ingredients
  2. Blend wet ingredients in large bowl, as ultimately it will hold everything. Mix thoroughly, even whipping the eggs up a bit to make the brownies a bit lighter.
  3. Slowly add the dry ingredients into the large bowl of wet ingredients.
  4. Grease a microwave safe dish and pour in mixture.
  5. Cook on high for 8-12 minutes. Cook time will vary depending on microwave power[... he did 9 minutes].
  6. Let cool for ~30 minutes before serving. Ideally, Let cool overnight in the refrigerator before serving.
  7. EAT! NOM NOM NOM.
  8. Optional step - share with others.

This isn't finished. I plan to improve the recipe as I figure out how to.
