Here's how I make it, go bottom to top on the recipe list. I split the recipe in half, using 50% of each ingedient. I make one at night, leave it in the fridge overnight, and take it to work the next day. I make one more after I get home from work, then throw it in the fridge to cool, and drink it in the evening. It tastes much better cold.

  1. Put 2 cups water in the blender
  2. Add the soybean oil, choline and potassium powders, salt, cal-mag liquid, GNC mega men, and whey protein.
  3. Put the cap on the blender and turn it on, allowing all the ingredients to mix.
  4. While the blender is still running, I take the cap off, and slowly add the Masa Harina so it does not clump. If you find your blender is splashing over the side, start with less water.
  5. The masa will thicken it up quite a bit, add a little more water until you get a nice vortex down to the blender blades.
  6. Stop the blender, pour it into a Nalgene bottle, and store the bottle in the fridge overnight, it tastes much better when cool.
  7. Take the bottle to work with you and drink it over the morning. I find that if I drink it around 8-9am, I don't feel hungry until 5-6pm.
  8. When you get home from work, blend youself another 50% recipe

If you find it too thick just add more water. You can always add ice to cool it faster. At first you may find the taste somewhat chalky and doughey. It tastes a little like uncooked liquid tortillas, since the main ingredient is the Masa Harina powder. Believe it or not your body will adjust, and it starts to taste better and better the more you drink it. I find I can go 8-9 hours after drinking a 50% recipe without feeling hungry, you've cut your food prep time down to nearly nothing, and I also find my energy levels higher than when I'm eating regular foods.

Another nice thing about making 50% at a time is that if you decide to grab a regular breakfast or lunch, you can simply make less soylent for yourself that evening to maintain the calorie count you want.

Good luck, let me know if you try the recipe and how it works for you.

Cheers,

Casper
