Recommended Equipment:(Optional)

  1. Scale
  2. Calibration Weight
  3. 28 oz. Blender Bottle
  4. Heavy Duty Dosage Glass
  5. 1 Gallon Glass Jug w/ Cap or Half Gallon Jug and Cap
  6. Food Storage Container
  7. Funnel

Pills:
The Vita-Lea will dissolve overnight and evenly distribute its vitamins. The iron capsule easily twists apart and the powder inside can be poured into the mix.

Iron:
Men of any age need about 8mg of iron a day. The iron supplement in this recipe is only to be added twice a week NOT every day.

Fiber Content:
This recipe contains the Daily Recommended Intake (DRI) of fiber. If your body is not used to this amount of fiber you may experience some short term digestive issues including loose stools, abdominal discomfort, gas, and bloating. These symptoms will eventually subside as your body gets used to the increase in fiber intake. If you experience any of these symptoms I would suggest adding the fiber supplement slowly, giving your body time to adjust, until you reach the amount in the recipe.

Storage:
Because soylent contains everything a microbe could possibly want and no preservatives it is highly recommended that you practice food safety. After adding water store any portion you are not going to drink immediately in the refrigerator and consume within 48 hours. If you wish you can add preservatives to the recipe. Also it would be a good idea to clean then sanitize the container you will store the liquid soylent in before each use.

Heat Pasteurization:(Optional)
Add enough water to bright total volume up to 1 gallon (4 liters). Heat in a sauce pan big enough to hold this volume to 154.4F (63C). Keep at that temperature for 30 minutes. Stir constantly to ensure even heating of the soylent. Cover and allow to cool. Pour into a properly sanitized container and store in the refrigerator.
