Place the nettles in a pan, add a little water and cook with the lid on for approx. 15-20 minutes. Then stir in the olive oil and season everything a little. Now you can survive on a budget for as long as there are nettles.

It is best to harvest them when they are young. They will then grow back. A field can be harvested several times a year.

They can also be preserved in jars for the winter. Vitamin C will be lost through cooking. Add again afterwards to extend preservation.

If fresh nettles are available, some can also be eaten as a salad to ensure vitamin C intake.

Or blend raw with oil to make some sort of Pesto.
