Designed for an active adult male, 20's-40's. Medium amount of carbs, ~1g protein per lb lean body mass, high fat from balanced sources, keeping omega 6's relatively low (omega 6:3 ratio is 2:1). It's on the more expensive side for DIY soylent recipes since it attempts to use high quality, whole foods and includes a natural greens supplement and fruit multi-vitamin/antioxidant supplement.

Other notes:

  • There's additional Vitamin A (about 12,000 IU) from the supplements in the form of mixed caretonoids and beta-carotene which do not cause vitamin A toxicity. For instance, see http://www.nutri-facts.org/eng/carotenoids/beta-carotene/safety/
  • Most of of the omega 3's are in the form of ALA as they come from the seeds & nuts, but there is fish oil supplement as well for the EPH and DPA forms.
  • Grind the nuts up in a coffee grinder or blender to mix into the soylent
