Just a heads up - In the ingredients of your Table Salt you only have Sodium listed. Table salt is sodium chloride. If you correct your table salt to include Chloride - you'll see that you are over your maximum (RED) for chloride. Just giving you…

Hello! What kind of blender/food-processor is best for this recipe?
preszo - Jun 17, 2014 1:07am
She'll be right its not too bad. Did you get headaches when you first started on it. I ve been getting them wonder if itz cos not having sugar. I know sugar is a bitch when you try to stay off it
tlamming@gmail.com - Jun 17, 2014 12:38am
I'm getting some heartburn; I'm thinking its the 30 grams of cocoa. I've cut it back down to the 20 mg. If it doesnt go away i may try to cut it out completely. Its that or the oat flour.
AusBrent - Jun 17, 2014 12:35am
The other alternative is to use coconut oil. It's a lot more expensive but will taste better and has a 50% omega 6 ratio.
AusBrent - Jun 17, 2014 12:19am
Can't really avoid that though. You could try a different oil and see if a different oil tastes better but peanut oil has a high percentage of omega 6 so you don't need to add as much. I still find it tastes better than some protein shakes I've had.

I ordered from the link you posted this weekend and tub arrived today with 6mcg B12. Unless the stockist has two different batches I think it's fine.

Paar tips: Er zit veel meer in whey protein concentrate dan dat in je recept vermeld staat. Zelfde geldt voor olijfolie. Je MSM hoeveelheid klopt ook niet. De ratio omzetting van MSM naar zwavel is 3:1.

Hi guys. I used this recipe to make some soylent and I've been using it for two days now. The taste is OK, almost a bit too sweet, so I am going to replace a small part of vanilla protein with unflavoured one. One strange thing though - right after drinking…

That link you posted is the one that I bought as well and it's *not* the right ones. The B12 level is only 1mcg (the text says 6mcg, but if you look at the actual photo of the nutrient label it only reads a 1mcg. Other totals are off as well. I've…

potassium citrate is fatal and if you got a whole bunch of it from what I've heard you could have a heart attack... So I personally think this is real dumb :X

@BriBy Do you know any alternative with similar values for GNC Mega Men? It's not available in Europe as far as I know (at least not in Germany). Besides from that and based on what my "demand" on nutritions is, this one is very close.

Niacin is a water-soluable vitamin. Over dosage can cause skin flushing, but I haven't had any issues at all. Most energy drinks overdose on B vitamins too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niacin#Toxicity

Hi QuidNYC, I believe there's mention on the back of the Soylent 1.0 label that MgO is used but I noticed its absent in your recipe.

NVM, I saw the note in your CL. Thanks!

Hi QuidNYC, my LarthurMix is very similar to what you've done here. However, I don't see any mention of xanthin gum in the application overview. Care to elaborate?

Not really a huge deal though. You will definitely mix it quite well, but even if you get say, 2x the correct amount 1 day, and 1/2 the amount 2 other days, it just averages out over short enough time frames.

Ben - Jun 12, 2014 8:15pm
My concern with preparing in bulk is that you would not get an even distribution of all the ingredients. Take Masa and Choline for instance, it is a ratio of 172.5 to 1. I'm afraid no matter how thoroughly you mix, the distribution is going to be off.

DoctorDee - Jun 12, 2014 9:36am
When a diet has very low carbohydrate content, and most of the calories are derived from protein and fat, your body produces ketones, which cause it to get its energy from your stored fat. This causes rapid weight loss, even though you are ingesting calories.…

DoctorDee - Jun 12, 2014 8:22am
LiqCake is high protein, low carb. So the weight loss with this recipe probably comes from it being ketogenic. If you add maltodextrin, you may well not become ketogenic, and therefore any weight loss will be from good old (hard) calorific deficit,…
