  • This is 100% nutritionally complete (there's even a dash of chromium) with high-quality vitamers, as well as coconut oil, creatine and centrophenoxine for their athletic and nootropic benefits. Vitamin D, and K2 are severely underdosed in most Soylent recipes, but not here. No extraneous capsules necessary.

  • The buckwheat flour should be soaked for seven hours to activate its phytase, and then added to the oat flour to deactivate its phytate, as processed oat flour has negligible phytase of its own, and phytate content of oats it NOT reduced by soaking. This will significantly increase the bioavailability of the oat and buckwheat flour's minerals.

  • The maltodextrin should be combined with the oils beforehand to form a powder that's easy to work with, à la Soylent 1.4-1.5.

  • Don't worry about manganese toxicity, it's all from the oat and buckwheat flour; there has never been a reported incident of manganese poisoning from food.

  • You really don't need much fiber on a liquid diet, no need to add psyllium or whatever. It has 7g of ALA omega-3, but you may wish to supplement with fish oil capsules for EPA/DHA. I chose not to include liquid fish oil, as that would be a bit nasty.

  • Protein from grain flours is incomplete, counting only the whey isolate, this is a sufficient amount of protein for an highly active 180 pound man.

  • Consider adding 0.5 g of Powder City's bacopa monnieri 50% bacosides extract, this will significantly improve your memory over a multi-month period. Beta-alanine powder is also recommended for endurance.
