Today we will talk about a miracle drink that you definitely cannot miss in your life: we will explain what green tea is for and its main benefits. Keep reading! WHAT DOES THE GREEN TEA WORKS FOR? FIGHT ALLERGIES Do you suffer from many allergies? Start including green tea in your diet. Drinking the green liquid can provide some relief, as it is a natural anti-allergen. A study published in the journal Cytotechnology found the polyphenol in tea can reduce allergies to pollen. Quercetin, a flavonol found naturally in tea, can also relieve histamine. WHAT IS GREEN TEA FOR: INCREASES THE VIEW Carrots have been associated as a food that promotes good eyesight, but science says there is new competition. The antioxidants found in green tea penetrate the tissues of the eyes and produce antioxidant activity. A study published in the journal Experimental Eye Research found that green tea can actually prevent cataract-induced blindness. These findings suggest that green tea consumption could serve as a protective measure when it comes to eyesight. REDUCE THE CHOLESTEROL The diet we eat every day puts you at risk for heart-related complications such as high cholesterol. Substituting unhealthy snacks for green tea drinks may help maintain healthy cholesterol levels. The powerful antioxidant in green tea, EGCG, inhibits the absorption of cholesterol from the large intestine. A study published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that consuming green tea significantly lowered serum and LDL cholesterol in more than 1,100 participants. Research suggests that drinking five cups of green tea a day will provide the greatest reduction in cholesterol. WHAT IS GREEN TEA FOR: IT MAINTAINS HEALTHY GUMS AND TEETH Drinking tea gets a bad rap for its staining effect on teeth. The hot beverage contains tannic acid, which is what gives the tea its similar dark color. However, consuming green tea is actually beneficial when it comes to your oral health. A study published in the Journal of Periodontology found that the intake of green tea is inversely correlated with periodontal disease, since drinking it reduces the symptoms of periodontal disease, due to the presence of catechin. Green tea has the ability to control bacteria, reduce the acidity of saliva and dental plaque. PREVENTS CANCER Green tea has been known to attack pancreatic cancer, and recently oral cancer. Its strong antioxidant, EGCG, is capable of killing cancer cells through the destruction of cellular mitochondria, and may even be a possible alternative to debilitating chemotherapy, according to a study published in the journal Molecular Nutrition & Food Research. UV PROTECTION Now when you go on vacation you should add a packet of green tea, plus sunscreen and sunglasses. The catechins in green tea make the skin more resistant to the effects of UV rays and premature aging of the skin. A study published in the British Journal of Nutrition found that a relatively low dose of 540 mg of green tea each day, along with 50 mg of vitamin C for 12 weeks, significantly reduced the effect of UV radiation on the skin. Cannabidiol (CBD for short) is a naturally occurring cannabinoid derived from the cannabis plant. It is one of over one hundred cannabinoids identified in hemp plants. However, unlike the full cannabis plant, CBD does not contain THC which is responsible for the stoned/high feeling that the recreational drug provides. Extracted from the flowers and buds of the hemp plant, CBD is being pressed into oil and is increasingly popular to treat, and even prevent, a wide array of health issues in states where medicinal marijuana has now been legalized. CBD oil is stronger and more natural than most non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Living Tree CBD
