Trying to make a soylent shake that fits my keto macros. All prices are in gbp, ingredients from the UK.
Swallow the pills in the morning.
I'll be drinking other water as well, and maybe only have this a few days a week. I like chewing food too!
Daily values divided by 3 meals:
- 33g protein powder
- 40ml double cream
- 5g coconut oil
- 2g salt
- 3g psyllium husk powder
- Blended with 500ml? water
Update 20/10/2016: I bought all the ingredients and mixed up my first batch this morning. It tastes good, the double cream makes it quite thick. The only problem is that the coconut oil is still solid. I used my immersion blender to mix it, but the coconut oil just spread into smaller solid drops, which is not a nice texture to drink.
I think I will try heating the coconut oil before mixing ingredients next time, but if it doesn't work I may have to buy some MCT oil (which is liquid at room temp).
Update 2 20/10/2016: Recipe edited to have less coconut oil (now 15g, was 33g), more double cream (now 120ml, was 90ml). This should help mitigate the problem with the clumping, and make it a bit richer.
