Different people have different nutritional needs. I need nearly twice the RDA. So while you meet RDA in your product, it may not be enough for him.

I would have to say, no, that's not what I was referring to. Especially in light of the fact that I quoted the specific part I wanted. But, mobile might handle quotes differently, I can't remember. The statement I wanted evidence for was that "religion…

The increase in hunger and energy has been from a recent change in my Soylent. I think I somehow convinced my metabolism to go faster, which increased my appetite and energy levels.
livingparadox - Sep 08, 2014 12:17am
I believe @vanclute uses straight canola oil. You could try that. As for your husband's cravings, the desire for greasy fast food sounds similar to something I went through before (though I greatly enjoy Soylent, and have from the beginning). If the…

Hey guys. I know that there have been many topics about the oil in Soylent, and I've read carefully but I haven't seen answers that pertain to my problem, and I'm hoping that people can help me. I do know the oil is necessary, and that it's healthier…

If your DIY uses masa harina or oat flour, isn't pea protein a recommended compliment? You are supposed to match grains with legumes. So in fact pea flour doesn't need to be complete protein and you can keep the protein cheap. In theory, anyway. 😛

I did some reading, and a vast majority of studies have found that A) dietary intake of AGEs increases serum levels of AGEs, and B) high serum AGEs are correlated with many nasty things (inflammation, diabetes, Alzheimer's). The article linked to on Wikipedia…

They are already in the process of redesigning the packaging. I'm not sure what the final result will be, but the over all size of the shipping boxes should be smaller (I think it should be at least half the size it is now). Some people have suggested…

I would guess that it may be more expensive [for Soylent] to have more package options, at least for now. I know that is the case for a friend who sells his product online. Things do change with scale etc., OFC.
Kennesaw - Sep 07, 2014 8:11pm
I received my first Soylent (two weeks worth) and so far it is great. I could not be any happier with the product itself. But the packaging really needs some thought. First of all the shipping box is at least twice as big as it really needs to be so…

It could be the high(er) levels of potassium giving you headaches. Once you're used to it, they go away.

Why not to use Flaxseed meal instead of oil?If you store it in a closed bottles in a dark place (like we do with 100%FOOD) - you will get a several months long shelf life.
