Wow this mix is far more delicious than the other DIY recipe I've tried thus far. It's actually pretty damn good!

Found it! And it tastes ridiculously good. Wow!

Can anyone see an alternative for the GNC MegaMan Vanilla Bean on bulkpowders.ie, or at least a UK/Ireland source for it? An amazon.co.uk link would help either. Thanks in advance!

Should the high level of saturated fats be a concern? Thanks.

No need for sulfur as Pea Protein contains enough amino acid. There also may be other vitamins & minerals in the Bulk Powders items, but their Nutrition Information section leaves something to be desired. Not sure how to make up the extra Iodine (without…

Can this be used to completely replace food like normal Soylent?
carondelet - Aug 30, 2014 2:12am
Yep, you're right. It is the B vitamins. All the research I've done says it's completely harmless. You pee out all the extra vitamins, and some of the B vitamins are just a neon yellow. Kind of looks like yellow gatorade.
carondelet - Aug 30, 2014 2:07am
I'm surprised that you didn't like the flavor. I actually really enjoy it. To me it tastes like a slightly too thin chocolate milk shake that has a touch of chalkiness/sediment. Do you refrigerate it overnight before consuming? Many people have said that…

Yep, I mix all the dry ingredients ahead of time and separate them into baggies. I break down the recipe into three meals a day and put one meal per sandwich bag. Every evening I put one bag of pre-mixed dry ingredients and 2 tsp of Udo's 3-6-9 in a blender…
carondelet - Aug 30, 2014 1:51am
I have no idea about the estrogen levels, but I do use Udo's 3-6-9 instead of the soybean oil. You could try that and see if it alleviates your concerns.

So I got corn meal because it had similar nutritional value to masa and masa isn't in my area at all. I also couldn't find the salt substitute so I'm taking 1 potassium supplement a day until a local pharmacy can order in potassium chloride. I'm gonna…

Yep, that's what I did as well. Reduced the cayenne quite a lot (think I'm doing like .3 to .5 grams now instead of 4) and I add in like 10 drops of stevia. I've also started putting in some instant coffee to give it a bit of a chocolate coffee flavor.…

Taking out the Choline Bitartrate massively improved the flavor of this for me. If anyone else is having issues getting it down, try taking that out and taking a choline pill supplement instead.

Ok so I did a bit more research, my only questions now are: With the high fibre and fat contents, is there a reason you go over the 100% threshold? What is the quantity of the brown rice protein?
Naphthen - Aug 29, 2014 12:06pm

Does it include the brown rice protein? It's coming up as €0 for me.

Yeah Neru you'll be fine taking the old formula. With the updated Centrum values, there was a bit too less Vitamin K, Vitamin A and Molybdenum, which are easy to get in most food sources anyway. I am keeping it updated for the idea of taking it 100%…

Hey Brad, I noticed some new changes to the recipe, would it be ok to continue on the old recipe until I run out of Almond meal? Is there much of a diff between the new Centrum and the old? I would only be having it for 2 meals a day...

I tried a custom version of this for 2400 Cal - 400 g of corn flour 120 g of whey 60 mL of olive oil All the ingredients occupied almost all of my blender capacity. As a result, it was hard to add enough water for it to mix evenly. I eventually had…

Interesting question. I'm not sure if you'll get an answer since I haven't seen Quid post in a while. Even if it's not zero it's definitely significantly less since it is formed in quantity during the roasting process.

According to http://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/Folate-HealthProfessional/#h8, the daily upper intake limits for folic acid is 1mg. The more than 200g of whey powder alone go past that limit. Add on the 0.5 mg of folic acid from the vitamin pills and this…

Leo Staley - Aug 28, 2014 1:18am
What do you mean cooking the masa like malt-o-meal? That's just a brand of cereal... Also, the Masa is already cooked. That's why it's masa and not corn flour.

Thank you for your response. I'd actually like to be taking a vitamin supplement, but I'm concerned about getting too much of something. I'll look up the recommend maximum amount of Vitamin D for me, and try a supplement accordingly.

Upping those nutrients is more for if your trying to get used to a ketogenic diet, which this is not. Try going outside and getting some sun or take a vitamin D supplement. A quick google of "vitamin deficiency headaches" seems to bring up a lot of articles…

This seems like a keto diet. Make sure you ask your physician before you start using it.
brad2014 - Aug 27, 2014 8:24am
This is correct. I am aiming for convenience though, and buying pre-blended oats is much easier than blending it yourself each time.

A note on this - I have looked into the oat flour thing and a cheaper option would be to buy plain rolled oats and put them in the blender to make oat flour - you could end up paying $20.00 less (than the $39.00 oat flour) if you look around. (Correct…
