Please Note, I now wouldn't recommend anyone use this recipe, see the warnings below.
Blend on high for 20 sec, with 600ml of water, then refrigerate overnight, for a smoother drink.
Warnings:
This recipe uses Xanthan Gum. Xanthan Gum coats all the ingredients in a fine slimy substance, & that can reduce or prevent your body from absorbing vital nutrients. You can exclude the Xanthan Gum & just give it an extra shake before drinking it.
This recipe is high in Phytic acid, from the Oats, Rice, & Flaxseed Powders. Phytic acid binds to vitamins & minerals, & it can reduce or prevent your body from absorbing vital nutrients.
This recipe uses Centrum Multi-Vitamins (see following info from: http://paleoedge.com/best-worst-multi-vitamins-athletes/)
Centrum Multi-Vitamin/Mineral Made by the pharmaceutical company Pfizer, and brings in close to 1 billion in sales. Centrum uses synthetic vitamin E (dl-alpha-tocopherol) and beta carotene, the same kind that has been found to cause detrimental health problems like prostate and lung cancer. It uses the oxide form of magnesium, which only 5% is absorbed. It contains hydrogenated palm oil, a trans-fat highly highly correlated to heart disease, not to mention all the horrible artificial colors including FD#C Blue #2, Yellow #6 and Red #40 found to disrupt mitochondrial function (the power house of a cell). A recent study published in the Journal of Toxiocology found that the dyes actually enter the bloodstream through the skin or digestive system, debunking previous expertise that the skin blocked it and the digestive system destroyed it first. This is alarming because these dyes have already been linked to ADHD, allergies and asthma, but due to the dye’s ability to inhibit cellular respiration, a whole cascade of health effects.
