This is the worst tasting thing I've ever had in my life. I'm not really sure why, but perhaps it's because I added the low sodium salt to it to increase the potassium. Also, most of my ingredients are rancid, and I can really taste it. The worst taste aspect is the pervasive bitterness. There's not just one type of bitter flavour permeating this brew - there are numerous nuanced notes of bitterness.

At least all the ingredients are effectively 'free', because I've paid for them long ago, and their cost no longer factors in my weekly food budget, which is non-existent because I usually eat whatever I feel like at the time, hence my (renewed) interest in DIY soylent.

I've made one batch, so I'll have to persevere with consuming the rest tomorrow. I am not looking forward to it. Currently, the blender is sitting in the fridge. Perhaps overnight it will transform into something actually palatable.

(Maybe the choline bitartrate is what's making it especially bitter? I've never had xanthan gum before, either.)
