This recipe aims to accomplish two things: 1) balance fat ratios 1:1:1 for saturated, monounsaturated, and polyunsaturated fats, as well as balance the omega 3 / 6 ratio, and 2) put more recognizable plant matter in the place of maltodextrin. This comes a cost of about twice what you'd normally pay for D.I.Y Soylent, a price I'm willing to pay.

The labeling of the items from True Nutrition may be a bit of a mystery if you've looked closely, here's what's up: you go to True Nutrition Custom Protein Powder Generator an add the following percentages of powder to your mix:

5% Alfalfa SuperGreen Protein Powder 40% Rice Protein Concentrate – non-GMO

Then move over to the "Carbs & Fats" tab and add:

10% Modcarb 10% Sweet Potato Powder 35% Swedish Oat Powder

The % quantities are of a pound of powder, and it just so happens that one pound = one days worth of food. They have maltodextrin and a host of other proteins and so on, so I've had a lot of fun just playing with their editor.

Anyway, I've got some test bags in the mail (split testing Mod Carb and Alfalfa SuperGreen for palatability). Later, I'll also have to smooth out the nutrient profile of this concoction, but I'm off to bed for the night.

Until next time, slurp the Soylent! :P
