I use Irish moss all of the time to clear up cloudy beer. I wouldn't eat it myself but that's just because I've never had a reason to eat it. Never had a problem with the beer I've used it in.

Stomach pain would be part of the flatulence I assume... as it fills up with gas and expands :3 @jelpern perhaps in the future when a recipe has addressed the problem with these oats causing gas and such, you could try Soylent again I am guessing it…

I got the theory that lack of enough enzyme to break down the oats is one of culprits to these symptoms some people describe. The body uses quite a bit of energy just breaking down food normally (at least that is what I have heard my entire life) and…

I was considering Irish moss, not carrageenan, but carrageenan is isolated from it. I was mainly just curious about it, since it's a common ingredient. The health concerns over carrageenan are controversial, but why take even a small risk. In any case,…

Shipping this is charged by weight and a month's worth weighs quite a lot, so no real cheap way around it, until they start using sea freight in bulk (maybe a year's supply at once perhaps).

For what its worth, I don't know if I felt more tired after starting Soylent vs before, but I have experienced a significant boost in energy upon adding more oil (official blend). So its plausible that it might help, as @hakabat suggested.
jrowe47 - Aug 24, 2014 9:24am
Just to clarify, Soylent doesn't have dairy products. It's completely vegetarian except for the oil, which contains fish oil.

Hi, Is there a way I can order 1 month supply of Soylent to Australia (Melbourne) at a reasonable price? Some people are selling Soylent on eBay, but they are charging way too much for it, and then there's another $100 for shipping it. Thanks,Behrang

I recommend mixing it, shaking like crazy and let it sit overnight and then add oil in the morning. More shakes and then pour your meal. Shaking between drinks.
