Also don't overlook the extremely common tactic of advertisers using a different product to promote their own - especially when soylent (lowercase) has become its own thing. Perhaps what you saw were people advertising a homemade alternative to Soylent…

I think some Facebook ads were confirmed a while back to be the ones Crowdtilt puts out on various successful projects, and not run by Rosa itself. Not sure if those are the same ones you saw, but it's certainly a strong possibility.

I had seen about 9 ads cross my Facebook feed in the past four months. I thought it pretty poor taste to be advertising for more orders while not fulfilling the original orders. True though, it isn't like I'm seeing commercials for it.

If it has, I haven't read it. Surely, even more people would be sceptical about a gaseous Soylent than about a liquid one - though I would still be interested.

My arguments for it were equally in jest.

@lebel Is there anything that we need to do if we did a campaign with the soylent promo code?
Neebs57 - May 20, 2014 3:09am
Nice, will be waiting to hear how it compares for you. I looked at sunflower and safflower oil, but the omega 6:3 ratio was not comparable to fish oil, so it looks like I better just go straight flax and not know what other things taste like
Snowman - May 20, 2014 3:09am
People Chow uses soybean oil -- is this not good enough for vegan use? Is there maybe another ingredient contributing fat that gets the omega balance wrong?
NoFlames - May 20, 2014 3:05am
Udo oil is a Flax oil blend to get the 2:1 ratio, and I believe the 2nd biggest oil ingredient comes from sunflower seeds. It ends up having a very nutty, grainy buttery flavor which I don't mind especially given the health benefits. I haven't tasted…
