Have you guys been chewing gum or anything? Could you just want something "meaty" to sink your teeth into?

@BriBy That's actually what prompted me to add the salt in the first place. Thankfully she had the common sense to decrease the salt just based on the fact that it turned out way too salty last time (I lack that common sense. I would have kept it as…

The meat craving could also be your body wanting more protein. The only way to know for sure would be to start experimenting to see if you can eliminate the cravings and then isolate exactly what it is that makes the cravings go away.

I would be curious about this as well. I find Soylent slightly too sweet. More salt would probably be better for you and succeed in making Soylent 'more bland.'

@Trent (and his wife) have both been craving red meat for at least a week. I believe his wife indulged, but he's trying to go all Soylent for a period of time before re-adding conventional food. I think craving MEANS "This particular thing sounds really…
ILoveLamp - Jun 05, 2014 4:51pm
I crossed the border with Soylent and the GST was only 5% on $800 (4 months supply). Note, a friend got it re-shipped to Toronto, shipping was $150 per box. So on a 3-month supply you're looking at $450 in shipping.

Cravings for salt are one case where it may actually mean you need salt. Cravings in general are complex, and you not having any doesn't mean much. I can go for months without a craving, and I also think a lot of people use "craving" to simply mean "This…
