Nutrient profile based un USDA & CRN (http://www.crnusa.org/about_recs.html\)

An expensive and natural whole-food/superfood based recipe. A rather complex one. Currently under development.

Next to essential micro nutrients, there is also other "healthy stuff" in food that can contribute to a healthy body. An example is Phycocyanobilin in the blue-green algae Spirulina, (Do some reading on spirulina and it's effects. Wiki), that may help against toxicity that stresses the body in certain conditions. This recipe includes different ingredients that may aid the body in positive ways.

The downside with the selected ingredients, is that they are more expensive compared to other recipes, and that they may have currently unknown adverse effects to our bodies, due to the lack of research and the novelty of the food itself. In the latter case I have define the ingestion of this recipe as a personal study of novelty ingredients and it's effect on my body. Which is fun. Good luck.

CHANGELOG 0.2 - "Higher GI + Lower manganese"

Previous version was too thick, not sweet and too high in manganese and iron. Barely enough quick carbs. It also had too much Omega 3.

  • Added: Maltodextrin
  • Added: Folic acid (nutritional yeast I have had wrong vitamin B values
  • Added: Coconut oil
  • Removed: Hemp protein
  • More: Whey protein
  • Less: Brown rice, Buckwheat, Oatmeal, Chia seeds, Psyllum husk, Flax seed
  • Added: Ginkgo Biloba
  • Added: Ginseng (American)
  • Added: Glucosamine & MSM

Next version

  • Flavoring options. Current version lacks flavor somehow.
  • Reduce grittiness.
  • Masa Harina tastes bad, imo. I need to replace it with another carb source, that is not too rich in iron and manganese.

Chromium

There is research suggesting that chromium is not essential for mammals.Bona, Kristin R. et.al. I can't find any valid research producing convincing evidence for chromium being a essential trace element. Vincent, John B. (2013)

Calcium-D glucarate

Regulation of estrogen metabolism. Lipid-lowering agent. Inhibits beta-glucuronidase. Thorne research

Coenzyme Q10

Antioxidant. Probably good for you.

Optimal Micronutrient Ratios

I did somewhat try to reach the ratios between selected minerals based on the linked research in the following link. But I did not find it essential for the moment. Worth a read nonetheless. Optimal micronutrient ratios
